Julian W. Black established our company in 1935 supplying canned goods to the retail grocery trade.
In the 1960's when his son, James W. Black joined the business, the company expanded into bakery ingredients such as salt, starches, and sweeteners.
In 1981, further expansion into other areas of food manufacturing occurred when Jim's son Jeff joined the company. Products such as onion, garlic, and dried and frozen herbs and vegetables became the core of the product line.
Today we continue to add to the items we offer to meet the increasingly diverse needs of the food industry.
Mission: To distribute the finest quality food ingredients efficiently while maintaining superior customer service. With the ever changing economic conditions affecting the cost of goods and services, we also try to save the customer money from every angle, knowing this in turn will help drive a healthy industry and economy.
